It's Lennon/McCartney night for the Top 9 American Idol contestants. Who will bring it? Who will sink? Song choices and judges comments just ahead:

Highlights from tonight's Top 9 Idol Performances: (refresh for the latest)

Aaron Kelly sings "The Long and Winding Road"
Judges comments:
Randy: "Great voice, but didn't like the arrangement."
Ellen: "uhm...you know I think you're fantastic but it felt like a long and winding song."
Kara: "Every week feels like the same performance..." Wants to see him move.
Simon: "Very old fashioned, very boring....you've got to become young and relevant. You need to have a moment."

Katie Stevens sings "Let it Be"
Judges comments:
Randy: "To me, this is your best performance ever."
Ellen: "No way you'll be in the bottom three this week"
Kara: "You're blossoming on that stage" Loves her confidence tonight.
Simon: "Tonight you got it right."

Andrew Garcia sings "Can't Buy Me Love"
Judges comments:
Randy: "Really, solid performance...a little corny at times, but it was alright."
Ellen: "First of all, you can buy love...perfect song choice for you; I loved it"
Kara: "I want to love it....but I'm not seeing anything new from you this week."
Simon: "Irrelevant" -thinks he and the band together got it wrong tonight

Michael Lynche sings "Eleanor Rigby"
Judges comments:
Randy: Thinks he could have the song on the radio; loves seeing the artist in him blossom.
Ellen: "So many different sides of you; huge risk; Incredible"
Kara: "I thought that was fire..those vocals were amazing."
Simon: "I didn't love it as much as the other three..this was something you'd see in a musical; didn't make you contemporary; made you go backwards....Too over the top."

Crystal Bowersox sings "Come Together"
Judges:
Randy: "Another solid performance..."
Ellen: "The only thing I have to worry about is a new way to tell you how great you are...you never cease to amaze me."
Kara: "I think this is one of my favorite performance by you...slinky, sexy playful, smiling."
Simon: "That's a performance I could hear on the radio...that's how you make a song contempory. Terrific."

Tim Urban sings "All My Loving"
Judges:
Randy: "You're in your own catagory, so I'm gonna start judging you by is it a good Tim performance....much better than the last couple of weeks."
Ellen: "Second best performance after Halleluah"
Kara: Best performances are with the guitar. (like tonight)
Simon: "I thought you did really well...no gimmicks, just the right thing to do --you and the guitar." Simon says he's proud of Tim because he's taken the criticism each week like a man.

Casey James sings "Jealous Guy"
Judges:
Randy: "Loved the acoustic guitar and the sensitive side of you. Really impressed that you took this kind of leap."
Ellen: "That to me was your best performance to date. So soulful."
Kara: Showed vulnerability..very tasteful; showed depth.
Simon: "Goldilocks...I think it was the best performance of the night so far...very very impressed with you tonight."

Siobhan Magnus sings "Across the Universe"
Judges:
Randy: "Nobody in the competition screams artist more than you." Liked the tender side, but it was a bit sleepy for him.
Ellen: "You are special and talented. Loved that it was different. Beautiful."
Kara: "From a purely singing perspective, it was good. I just think it was very restrained and very polite and we're not used to seeing that from you."
Simon: Came back much stronger this week. He asks her what she connected to personally in the song--she is moved to tears when she talks about her little sisters and tells him saying that nothing's going to change her or her world.

Lee Dewyze sings "Hey Jude"
Judges:
Randy: "Dude, it was another hot one for you. Please believe, believe, believe." (Laughs at the guy who came down the steps playing the bagpipes)
Ellen: "Great job, I loved it....confident, focused" (Even when the bagpipe guy got separated from his parade..you didn't even get rattled.!!!)
Kara: "Good moments; a few off moments; but I'm still a fan."
Simon: Says he wouldn't have come out with the bagpipe player...it was like he turned up on the wrong show! Asks if it was Lee's idea---says yes, 100%.

Results tomorrow night, with performances from David Archuleta, Jason Derulo and Rihanna.
