Things get switched up a bit later this month on The Biggest Loser: The contestants get a blast from the past on the March 31st episode with visits from season five winner Ali Vincent and season six winner Michelle Aguilar, both filling in as host while Alison Sweeney is on maternity leave. The contestants are also surprised by the arrival of some old friends, whose return promises to shake up the competition. And while one player is sidelined by medical issues, the rest compete in a balance and endurance challenge that finds each contestant standing on a platform, suspended six feet over a pool. One by one, the lines supporting the platform are removed, making it harder to stand, until only the winner is left standing. Later, Bob has last chance workouts at the beach before the weigh in, which is followed by a surprising elimination.

Jason Mesnick Apologizes on Ellen
Posted by bloggergal | | Jason Mesnick, reality tv on Ellen, The Bachelor | 0 comments »The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick apologized to fans during his Ellen appearance. "I think what I want to do is to apologize to everybody out there. All the fans of the show because thank you for watching, but this was my real life and it was the hardest thing I had to do. And I made some big mistakes and that's what I wanted to sit here and talk about today—the mistakes that I made. But in the end I found my true love." He also says he regrets telling Melissa about Molly on camera.
"I completely regret doing that," he says. "I regretted it every single day since that happened and I will regret probably every day for the rest of my life. The producers obviously really wanted me to do it on the show, but I take full responsibility for my actions. I could've not shown up and when I look back, I was just trying to do what I thought was right for me, and if I could go back and do it again I would not do that."
He was joined by Molly for a short time afterwards, who says there were moments when she has sympathy for Melissa.

Kandi Burruss Joins Real Housewives of Atlanta
Posted by bloggergal | | real housewives | 0 comments »NeNe, Kim, Sheree, and Lisa, make room for one more! EW.com
has learned exclusively that DeShawn Snow's replacement on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta is Kandi Burruss, a singer-songwriter from the platinum-selling '90s R&B girl group Xscape (which also included sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, as well as Burruss' best friend Tameka "Tiny" Cottle).
Burruss is undeniably the most notable member from Xscape. Since the group parted ways in the late '90s, she had a somewhat successful solo singing career but has seen ever greater successes with songwriting. Along with Cottle (who's married to rap superstar T.I.), she wrote TLC's 1999 smash hit "No Scrubs." Burruss has also penned jams for Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, Boyz II Men, Alicia Keys, and Faith Evans.
Burruss fills the spot vacated by DeShawn Snow, who is the wife of Cleveland Cavaliers NBA player and NBA TV announcer Eric Snow. She was known on the show for her ridiculously large house and extensive staff, as well as a rather poorly received fundraiser she threw for the DeShawn Snow Foundation, which helps teenage girls with self-esteem issues. When the news came out that Snow would not be joining Housewives for season 2, she was quoted on Essence.com as saying a producer called her "and said that I was 'too human for a circus show' and that because the show did so well, they are about to pump up the drama and they didn't think that I would fit in." Snow is now pursuing a degree in divinity.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Bravo and will return soon for it's second season.

Jewel will not be participating in this season of Dancing With the Stars due to injury. Jewel told In Touch she has a fractured tibia in both legs and it was more serious than she originally thought. “I am on crutches and if my right leg gets worse, I will be in a wheelchair.” At the advice of her physical therapist, Jewel took a break from dancing in order to allow the tendonitis in both knees to heal. After an MRI to evaulate the injuries, they were much were than expected and her doctor advised her not to dance.
Nancy O'Dell is also said to be withdrawing from Dancing competition and Holly Madison is rumored to be joining the DWTS cast.

Highlights from tonight's episode of Survivor
Coach continueed to whine about the fact he thinks he'd be the best leader. (yeah, yeah....) Nobody is noticing his greatness and he just doesn't understand why!
Taj informed Steven about the cross tribal secret alliance of her, him, Brendan and Sierra. Over on the other side, Brendan didn't find the time to inform Sierra.
Reward Challenge was won by Jalapao. It was an strength endurance challenge that was won utlimately by Taj, with Deb coming in second. Taj and Sierra were picked to go to exile.
The reward was a camp raid--two members of Jalapao took two items from the Timbira camp. (they two one sack of beans and one water can)
On Exile, Taj received the clue about the immunity idol being near the tree mail. Taj filled Sierra in on the secret alliance.
Immunity was won this week by Timbira.
At tribal council, Sandy was sent home as Sydney flirted her way into at least one more week.

Jillian Harris Looks for Love on "The Bachelorette"
Posted by bloggergal | | Jillian Harris, The Bachelorette | 0 comments »Jillian Harris, the intelligent, independent, passionate woman who fell just short of her goal -- hoping that Jason Mesnick could be her best friend, soul mate and future husband on the just completed hit season of "The Bachelor" -- will have her own opportunity to find true love, starring in the fifth edition of "The Bachelorette," which will premiere MONDAY, MAY 18 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The announcement was made on "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose, Part 2" special.
An instant fan favorite on the last edition of "The Bachelor," Jillian, 29, a restaurant interior designer who currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, came oh-so-close to being the woman Jason selected. She scored points with him the first night she met him. Finding a creative new way to "grill" a guy, Jillian disclosed her unusual theory about discovering a lot about a man from the condiments he puts on his hot dog, and she immediately put Jason to the test. Her adventurous spirit and resourceful, resilient manner of handling a stressful family situation impressed Jason, who fit in with her wonderful and warm family. He invited her to New Zealand as one of the final three women, but even after she and Jason shared one of the steamiest hot tubs in Bachelor history, he still questioned whether their chemistry would last over time and sent her home.
Enthusiastic about her work and life in general, Jillian is ready to find her best friend and settle down and is confident that she can find the love of her life on "The Bachelorette." Jillian is an only child and is excited at the thought of starting her own family.
Jillian, a native of Peace River, Alberta, Canada, graduated from British Columbia Institute of Technology with a degree in interior design. In her spare time she volunteers in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program as a school tutor and mentor.

Naomi's Thoughts on "The Bachelor Break Up"
Posted by bloggergal | | Jason Mesnick, The Bachelor | 0 comments »Naomi speaks out on her myspace about the The Bachelor Drama--Jason and Melissa's break up and of course, Molly-- and some of her thoughts that were not aired on the ATFR part 2:
"I just want to say thank you again for all your emails, comments and continued support... It truly means so much to me! It's such a blessing to have all of you as friends on here! ....I wish I could respond to everyone individually, but it is very difficult to keep up with the craziness of life these days ..So I'm sending out this message in response to all of your comments and emails. As you all witnessed for yourself, Melissa put it quite nicely when she called Jason a "Bastard" ...And as you all saw in the AFR part 2...I'm not a violent person but I absolutely wanted to take my fist through the screen and punch him as hard as I could--when I saw the episode for the first AND second time. Melissa is one of my best friends and like a sister to me, so naturally when you see someone you love that much go through that kind of public heartbreak and humiliation it pains you as well. I will send her all of your love and kind words of encouragement. She does not have a MySpace at the present time..I know there is one for her, but she is not in control of it.. I think it is a fan posing as her... or ABC--who knows?
As far as my thoughts on Jason and what they did not air..I believe he made an incredibly horrible mistake..that mistake was not picking Molly in the first place. What I said to Chris, the girls, and the audience was that it was evident to me that on that day his decision was more a result of the advice from Deanna and his mom encouraging him to pick the 'safer' one-so to speak, the one who won't break his heart again, hence the reason he chose Melissa. Mel--the girl who wears her heart on her sleave, the girl who is honest and does not play games or give him a chase, the girl who is obviously the whole package and then some-The girl he was looking to find coming into the whole experience...The same girl he then publicly humiliated and crushed. I believe that if he really took the time to think about this decision and TRULY follow his heart he would've chosen Molly in the first place. I don't care what he says, he should not have been THAT devasted after sending her home and then turn right around and within minutes propose to Mel saying she had ALL of his heart and love..It's a contradiction however you look at it.
While I did say at the AFR part 2 that 'no-one really knows what it's like to be in his position, unless you've been in it' and this is true....It does not change the fact that I absolutely do not support the way he handled this whole thing..I feel like he chose an easy way out at the expense of breaking the heart of an INCREDIBLE girl on national television and he didn't even have a good reason to give her for it...It is a fact that he did not try to make the relationship with Melissa work..And then tried to play 'nice guy' -Mr. "Integrity" himself -making it public as his way of giving Melissa the opportunity to become the next Bachelorette (which she had turned down) and his way of "truly following his heart"-- making it known nationally that he's 'still in love' with Molly.. I guess he gets 12 Brownie points for that...Whatever..
And Molly... Well, the girl's got tactic..I think she was very clever in what she said to Jason when he let her go..."You're making a huge mistake" ....It planted the seed in his mind from the get-go...How do you start a happy, loving marriage and life with the woman you CHOSE...when THOSE words of the woman you didn't ring in your mind...She's very clever...and was the entire time, always trying to keep him on his toes, wanting more..giving him that sexual thrill and a challenge by waiting til the end to finally open up and show some emotion...
I'm not doubting that they are in love or lust right now...I'm sure they are and I wish them the best...All I can say is that I SURE hope it does work out--I truly mean that--because this was an awefully BIG production and MESS around this decision for it to not work out...I guess only time will tell...Good Luck Molly and Jason!
As for Mel, well she is as happy as happy can be right now! She's such a strong woman who can seriously handle her own as we all witnessed...I love her and I'm proud to be her friend and I know that she's gonna do great things in her life!!
Thankyou ALL!!! ---From both her and I
Lot's of Love!!!

American Idol Group 3 Performances on Itunes
Posted by bloggergal | | american idol 8 | 0 comments »Group three of the American Idol contestants gave it their all last night hoping to make it into the top twelve. Standouts were Lil Rounds, Jorge Nunez and Scott MacIntyre. Felicia Barton, who replaced Joanna Pacitti, definitely deserves a place in the top twelve as well, but with little air time to get to know her in Hollywood-she may have a hard time getting the votes. Dial Idol has Lil Rounds in the top spot for the girls, Scott MacIntyre for the guys----third place looks to be up for grabs. Idol contestants sang:
Von Smith - “You’re All I Need to Get By”
Taylor Vaifanua - “If I Ain’t Got You”

Bachelor's Chris Harrison, "Jason Made His Own Bed"
Posted by bloggergal | | Jason Mesnick, The Bachelor | 1 comments »Bachelor host, Chris Harrison, dished about the Jason Mesnick flip flopping drama on Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning. Harrison says he's been in this business for twenty years and that (the ATFR episode) was the worst, toughest show he's ever sat through. He agrees with Seacrest that it was hard to believe Molly would take Jason back as quickly as she did.
Harrison plugs the second After the Final Rose part two that's set to air tonight to promote Jason and Molly's new relationship. Harrison says, "I'm not gonna make excuses because this wasn't my decision, Jason made his own bed and he and Molly will have to lay in it." Seacrest asks if Jason redeems himself tonight on the second ATFR but Harrison says he can't answer that and after reading some of the articles today he's not sure Jason can ever redeem himself. Harrison tries to say Jason was courageous in his actions last night on the first ATFR by dumping Melissa and asking Molly for a second chance, but Seacrest strongly disagrees and says he was just being selfish.
Seacrest asks Harrison about the US Weekly report that this entire scenerio was concocted by production. (that Jason knew he was going to dump Melissa for Molly all along for ratings and effect) Harrison says "That report is so unbelievably irresponsible and the lack of jouralist integrity in that is astounding to me." He says he doesn't really care what bloggers say (my words) but "the fact that US magazine ran with this story and printed it was unbelievably vindictive, irresponsible and beyond anything I've seen in that magazine." (his words)
Seacrest says, "Give me an example of what they (US Weekly) lied about." Harrison doesn't pinpoint any one specific thing, but just says it would be impossible for the producers to come up with that kind of scheme and denies Jason was asked by anyon ahead of time to do a 180 with the girls. So basically, he's saying Jason Mesnick was a jerk all on his own and as he said before, "he made his own bed".
Harrison says he fully expects an apology and retraction from US Weekly for the story.

Jason Mesnick on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Posted by bloggergal | | Jason Mesnick, The Bachelor | 0 comments »Jimmy Kimmel takes some great shots at The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick asking him if he'll be changing his mind about Molly and calling some of the other bachelor contestants in the future and why he felt the need to break up with Melissa on camera. Mesnick's answers are inconsistent.
Although The Hills just started filming the fifth season, feuds have already erupted. On February 27, while enjoying a night on the town at Hollywood hotspot My House, Audrina Patridge, 23, and Brody Jenner's Playboy Playmate girlfriend, Jayde Nicole, became embroiled in a heated fight. "They were filming for The Hills and Jayde was rolling her eyes and being rude to Audrina," an onlooker tells In Touch. "Jayde and her girlfriend finally approached Audrina and went crazy, yelling at her." It looks like Jayde, 23, wasn't very happy about Audrina's relationship with Brody. "Jayde has always been jealous of Audrina and thinks Brody has a thing for her," says an insider. "But Brody and Audrina are just friends." The night ended with Jayde leaving, but seeming to need assistance because she appeared tipsy. Audrina insiders insist, "She thinks Brody is a good friend and that's it." Jayde and Brody, 25 have been dating for five months.

The Most Fickle Bachelor Ever-Jason Mesnick Speaks Out
Posted by bloggergal | | Jason Mesnick, The Bachelor | 1 comments »Jason Mesnick answered Jimmy Kimmel's questions tonight immediately after the Bachelor finale and the most pathetic After the Final Rose episode ever. Here's a quick recap; I'll post the video tomorrow.
Jimmy Kimmel says, "What happened and are your arms sore from handing out and taking back roses?" Jason says, " It was my real life; people can question that or doubt that but on the last day I was falling in love with two girls....actually, I wouldn't have stopped dating any one of the three final girls in the real world." (Watch out, Molly----he'll be seeking out Jillian in about six weeks)
Why propose marriage to Melissa? Jason says because 'everything he was ever looking for was Melissa"........she was what I wanted. '
After the show finished taping, Jason says he spent alot of time with Melissa--including secret rendezvous, the holidays together where he felt the chemistry was different and the conversations changed between them.
Why did you break up with Melissa on television? "Because I had too." Jason claimed and went on to say Melissa knew what he was going to do on the "After the Final Rose" show. He says, "Before we walked out on that after the rose show, we were not together.........it may seem or look like we were, but she knew exactly what was going on." (production sources told US weekly that Melissa had no idea what Jason planned to do, same with RS sources)
Is there a chance you'll get back together with Melissa now too? Jason says no and he has no regrets on the last day when he asked her to marry him. At the time, Melissa was everything he wanted.
Are you really with Molly now? Jason says yes he is.
"Do you have the numbers of the other contestants in case you change your mind again?
I mean, ya never know, you gotta leave things open it's real life, right?" asks Kimmel. Jason just looks at him.
Jimmy suggests that Jason seek out Flavor Flave's advice ........
Are you and Molly planning to marry? Jason says there is no talk about that right now. Jimmy laughs, tells him he should wait awhile and then make sure to do it on television since it's became such a habit for him.
Jason says at some point he thinks he and Melissa will be friends again. Jimmy literally bursts out laughing and says, "oh, no you will not!.......you, Melissa, Israel, Iraq......"
"What's the plan from here? You know you're gonna get slapped alot, " states Kimmel. Jason defensively responds, "People can blame me for living my life if they want too." No real comment on the big plan for the future.
Does your son understand what's going on? Jason says he's only interested in games. Kimmel says, "Any chance you'll dump him and replace him with a blonde child?" No, says Jason.
Jason says about his experience on The Bachelor, "I met two great girls and a great production staff." Jimmy looks puzzled, laughs and responds, " Well, I hope it works out for you, the two girls and the great production staff.........................."

In this gripping special conclusion, Jason prepares to make one of the most difficult decisions of this life. With his search for love now narrowed down to Melissa and Molly, Jason brings his son, Ty, to New Zealand to meet the remaining two women. The bachelorettes are also introduced to his family. Finally, the women lay their hearts on the line, each trying to guarantee that she will be the one to get Jason's final rose. But the Bachelor is stunned when DeAnna, the woman who broke his heart, shows up in New Zealand to see him. In one of the most romantic and dramatic moments in "Bachelor" history, Jason makes a decision that will change his life forever, on the season finale of "The Bachelor," MONDAY, MARCH 2 (8:00-10:02 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Jason's proposal to the love of his life was one of the most romantic moments in Bachelor history, but no one is prepared for what happens when Jason and the final two women return to the studio for "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose." Emotions run high at the unexpected and shocking ending of Jason's journey to find true love, on the one-hour special, "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose," MONDAY, MARCH 2 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET).
The handsome single dad hopes that by seeing each of the twoason's proposal to the love of his life was one of the most romantic moments in Bachelor history, but no one is prepared for remaining women with his son, Ty, now age four, he will see how they interact with him and offer a hint as to how the three of them would mesh as a future family.
The bachelorettes must also rise to the occasion with Jason's family - his parents, two brothers and his sister-in-law - as they confront both women with some serious questions. All of which is no surprise, as they are understandably concerned about Jason since his experience with DeAnna. But Jason has a touching heart-to-heart talk with his mother about how strong his feelings are for both women.
Jason takes Melissa for a sailing trip in the stunning Bay of Islands. Then, on one last intimate evening at her place, Melissa tells Jason that her parents are willing to talk to him over the phone and tries her best to make sure Jason knows how strongly she feels about him. Then Molly invites Jason to her place for a home-cooked meal and a massage - a preview of how great their married life would be. She opens up her heart, determined to show Jason the depth of her feelings.
And if Jason isn't confused enough about his feelings for Melissa and Molly, he is totally unprepared when DeAnna surprises him by visiting him in New Zealand. After their intense talk, Jason is more torn than ever. He considers the impact each woman would have on Ty's life, as well as his own. Will he risk getting his heart broken again? Or will he finally find the true love of his life?
The remaining two women are:
Melissa, 25, a sales representative from Dallas, TX
Molly, 24, a department store buyer from Grand Rapids, MI

Kitchen disasters plague both teams as they bake their cupcakes, but when they hit streets of New York City, the cash rolls in. A surprise taste test brings yet more conflict for the women, and the men confront one celeb who’s not pulling his weight. In the end, the team that makes the most money wins, and the first celebrity hears Trump’s fateful words, “You’re Fired!”
Hershel Walker and Joan Rivers are the first project managers for their teams.

NBC's popular reality series "The Biggest Loser" is launching a 14-city cross-country search to find new contestants for the next edition of the hit show. Both individuals and teams are encouraged to apply for the new season, which will air in the fall. To keep creative options open for the new season, producers are also looking for certified trainers.
Outgoing and charismatic individuals or teams of two are encouraged to apply, especially those who have the personality, desire and competitive edge to vie for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lose weight, change their lives forever and compete for a grand prize of $250,000. Teams can include family members (siblings, cousins, parent and adult child, etc.), spouses, dating or engaged couples, grandparents, co-workers, former teammates or athletes, best friends and college students. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and legal residents of the United States.
Producers are also looking for certified trainers with strong personalities who have a solid track record of taking the weight off of overweight clients. Nutritional credentials are a plus, and trainers applying must provide references.
While they will try to see everyone, "The Biggest Loser" casting teams will do their best to see the first 500 people in line. People will not be allowed to line up prior to three hours before the start of the open call. Candidates should bring a non-returnable photo of themselves (and their partners if applying as a team).

NBC's "The Biggest Loser: Couples" get a special workout with boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard and a valuable cooking lesson from celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito on the next episode airing Tuesday, March 3 (8-10 p.m. ET).
First the contestants meet up with DiSpirito and learn how many calories are really in some of their favorite fast food dishes. Then the black and blue teams have a lively cook-off, preparing healthier, low-calorie versions of pizza, burgers and a Mexican entrĂ©e. The team who prepares the tastiest and lowest calorie dish gets a meal specially prepared by DiSpirito, plus a chance to pick a fortune cookie with an especially valuable fortune inside – an extra vote at elimination.
Then trainer Bob Harper takes the contestants to a 24-Hour Fitness where a surprise guest awaits them – Sugar Ray Leonard! This is especially thrilling for contestant Aubrey, who was previously an amateur boxer. Leonard shows them how much fun burning calories can be when he puts them through a unique shadow boxing workout.
Later, all the contestants head to the Los Angeles Food Bank, where host Alison Sweeney explains this week's challenge: they'll race to pack food kits for the hungry and load them on trucks. Each member of the winning team gets an amazing prize – free groceries for a year, plus letters from home.
Then it's time for last chance workouts, when trainer Jillian Michaels has a dramatic confrontation with the player she feels is the weakest link on her team. And away from the gym, one contestant gives another a very generous gift. Later, all of the contestants are surprised to learn about a new twist at this week's weigh-in.
